Long before current standards were adopted, EFI was developing transient voltage suppression technology that has become the industry model. EFI revolutionized surge suppression technology with the development of multi-stage hybrid surge suppression that optimizes protection through the combination of basic suppression components.
An example of one of EFI’s most copied technologies is our Sinewave Tracker™ circuitry which establishes the power surge clamping window relative to the sine wave voltage, rather than at a fixed voltage. Other EFI innovations that have now become industry standards are multiple diagnostics that alert the user of power or outlet problems and the use of thermal fusing to avoid overheating and catastrophic events due to sustained over voltages.
