- Versatility. MCC SPD units Surgelogic SPD can be installed in Model 6 Motor Control Centers. Peak surge current ratings per phase range from 120kA to 240kA. Two units can be used together to achieve 320kA or 480kA peak surge current rating per phase.
- Compact Design. The Integrated MCC SPD unit requires only 6“ of space. Much less space than competitors MCC SPD units or externally mounted SPD devices.
- 200 kA SCCR. The MCC units with Surgelogic SPD meet the new 2002 NEC, and 2003 UL 1449 Short Circuit Current Rating requirements. The MCC SPD unit has been tested up to 200 kA SCCR to comply with 2002 NEC and 2003 UL changes.
- Retrofit Ready. The MCC SPD units are suitable for retrofit in all existing Model 6 Motor Control Centers. This equates to over 20 years of installed base having retrofit potential.
- Labor and Money Savings. Easily installs in less than one minute and reduces the amount of cable and conduit required compared to wall mounted SPD units. Plus all phase connections are pre-wired at the factory.
- Application Flexibility. The MCC SPD unit is suitable for service entrance and non-service entrance application.
- Competitively Priced. The MCC SPD unit has been price positioned at market levels that are competitive with comparable units.
- Lower Installed Cost. The total installed cost of an MCC SPD unit is less than a comparable externally mounted SPD that has been installed and wired by the electrical contractor.
